Good food, LOW prices, plus lots of coupons = 5 stars This has become my go to local place when I don't feel like cooking. Lots of food choices, something for everyone. Service has been great on all except one occasion (if you have closing duties and can't pay attention to a customer at the same time, maybe you shouldn't take on new tables?) Michigan cherry burger is a must try. Sweet potato fries are good too. The chocolate fudge cake is great at $3.

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. The food here was gross!!!!! My pancakes taste like cornbread. The toast was burnt. My sausage undercooked. And I asked for lemon with my water and it was bruised!!!! How grotesque! I would not advise anyone to eat here. After reading the reviews I was sure it would be enjoyable. I pulled in and it was packed. Another good sign, when I got my food I could have ralphed. Don't waste your money or time.

So, my friend woke me up on Sunday morning and told me to meet her for breakfast. She suggested Mayberry's (which is closer to her home), and so I agreed to try something different. Not at all impressed, I must say. Maybe it was because I was not that hungry, but the bacon, eggs and hash browns just didn't make me happy. Usually, it doesn't take much to fulfill my appetite (especially if you throw bacon in front of me), however nothing was cooked like I wanted. Now on the same token, my friend had a hamburger and she scraped the plate. So maybe it was just me being picky. It's a small diner, reminds me of a Big Boy's Restaurant. The waitress was actually semi-annoying, but I think that is just her personality. The prices were decent. Go if you are in the area, although I am not sure what I would recommend.

Impressive atmosphere, average burgers and pitas, and awesome staff. Walking in makes you realize immediately that you should feel at home. The staff are friendly and ON IT, the coffee is awesome, and the kids were extremely welcome and comfortable. The waitress reminded me of Flo from Diner Dash. She was quick and the supporting staff were very attentive. There was an embarrassing drink snafu and the waitress had it remedied in under three minutes. Kids burgers were flat and overcooked. Pitas were average, but fries were fresh. It was a nice experience, food was just okay. We will be back. Super duper bonus-$5 off your first meal by downloading the app, and it gives you a few more bucks off with coupons.

I was having my car serviced nearby and was told that it would be 1 1/2 hours until they could get to my car. So I decided to get something to eat. I had been to this place in the deep dark past, but not recently. While I was perusing the menu, I noticed a sign on the table that offered $ 5.00 off any purchase if a customer downloads their smartphone app. Well that seemed almost to good to be true, so when I ordered, I asked the server how that works. She confirmed that they would honor the discount on any purchase as long as I just showed the installed app at checkout. So I installed the app by merely scanning the bar code and waited to be served. I enjoyed a combination broasted chicken meal and it was really good. The chicken was hot and juicy and the sides were great too. The app works really well and it includes discounts on multiple purchases as well as coupons. It is an app that outperforms the fast food apps in terms of features. While I was eating, I watched the Tigers game and saw them load the bases and then, of course, strike out and score no runs. But the combination of a super discount coupled with good food and the Tigers game couldn't be beat.

Why do I go here instead of all of the corporate chain burger joints? Well, I'm a fan of their Michigan Cherry Burger. It's a 1/2 pound of ground beef cooked to order according to your doneness preference, and not all of the corporate chain restaurants will do that these days. It's served on a handcrafted bun. The lettuce, pickles and tomatoes are on the side so they stay crisp until you are ready to eat the sandwich. The burger is topped with caramelized onions, bleu cheese and Traverse, Michigan sun dried cherries. The burger is so good that you really don't need to add any condiments to it. I love that I can get it with either a side of fries or a side of onion rings, and I can get it with a starter of soup all for under $10. The staff is friendly and usually remembers me well enough to know what I'm going to order when they see me pull into their lot despite me not going there very often. The atmosphere is full of nostalgia for the old Andy Griffith show, and the family friendly atmosphere carries over into the restaurant. So, why come here? You get to support a family owned restaurant which sources their products locally. They cook your food to order. And it is a place in the area of Detroit which has small town hospitality.

I've been eating at Mayberry's for 25 years, and they have great food and service. The boaster chicken is the best! The turkey dinner is also one of my favorites. If you want stupendous service, ask for Kari! She treats all of her customers as if they were her family.

Oh my GOODness, I will never go back here. While overall the place is decent looking, typical diner style, our service was, bar none, the most appalling I've ever received. Our waitress sat us down, took forever to get us waters, all the while talking SO loud and obnoxiously to the people in the booth behind us. Our breakfast food finally came and was gross, and when we asked for syrup, she came by our table, SLAMMED it down on the table without saying a word or even looking at us, as she kept talking to the people in the other booth. It was unbelievable. She seriously slammed it down on the table. I jumped because I was so startled. She didn't do it out of anger, just because she was distracted by the other booth maybe? I don't know, but I don't care either. I think her name was Connie. In their defense, the manager did offer me a discount on a future meal there, but the thing is, I never want to go back! I'm not going to dislike the place just for one crappy waitress, but the food was just not good either. So between the two, I'll never go back.

I LOVE the food here! I've never gotten anything bad here. From time to time they hae some folks that work there that aren't the brightest. Like the time I got Chikten Terders, but other than that...love the place. They make GREAT potato skins, and the grilled cheese is awesome too!

True fact about Detroit: For a brief time in the mid-1990s, there were more country stations on the FM dial in Detroit (3) than in Nashville (1). This is due to the fact that there's a large contingent near Detroit who, for some inexplicable reason, think the area is below the Mason-Dixon Line (I like to call them Kid Rock's Detroit). They talk with a twang. They wear cutoff jean shorts to the mall. They rebel yell while driving beater convertibles. In fact, they're so numerous, that they make up the good majority of die-hard Red Wings fans. Why do I bring this up? It's the only way I can explain an Andy Griffith Show themed restaurant in Farmington Hills. Not that I'm complaining. They serve up a heaping helping of "southern" hospitality with a lot of sass thrown in (if a customer is not into sarcasm, this might not be the place for them). And the menu reflects a devil may care attitude about health straight out of a Waffle House. My food choice was their Monster Bake. In a healthy state like California, this thing might be banned. But not in Michigan. It's a *one pound* potato filled with fixins'. The only thing keeping the steam roasted vegetables in mine was that they put the cheese on top. But the pressure from how densely they stuffed it almost worried me. If the potato was't succulently soft to the fork, the plate might have shook! It ate rather quickly to avoid a flavorsplosion. And it was only $5.99! They must get a cut from the heart doctors at nearby Bottsford Hospital to be able to keep the price so low! And they really do carry through their theme nicely. All of the waitstaff wear sheriff's badges. And the walls are covered with old photos from the show. The whole aura made me want some old fashioned ice cream. And they have it! Homemade. Old timey shakes and floats too. And again huge portions at amazing prices. By the way, of the three country stations I mentioned, only one is still around. So Detroit's sort of moved on from its most Kid Rockian phase. This restaurant, founded about the same time, thankfully hasn't.

I've been here a couple of times for breakfast but I wanted to do something different... Plus it was buy one, get buy one FREE! You know I love a deal!!! So I tried this "Monster Burger" -- OMG it was almost bigger than my head; the bun large and fluffy (how many times have you heard someone describe their buns that way... wink wink) Lol! The order came burger and 2 side items. Since I'm a fry lover... I of course order 2 sides of fries; when the order was brought it looked like a kids meal serving. :( I was just spoiling myself that day... so I even purchase a pie of cake which was $2.99. It's was OK but I more likely wouldn't buy it again for that price. I enjoyed myself and watching old couples holding arms as they walk out. It isn't AWESOME place where your server is doing tricks and cracking long jokes/stories (unless they aren't busy) but this is a place where it's quiet and you can just enjoy/relax. Try it... you never know!!! :)

This is our go to place when we want good food, quickly, at very reasonable prices. Consistently good service, never dirty, generous portions. I highly recommend this place for family dining!
